I was looking up old boxing results and I came across this image. At one McAllen show on October 6th, 1979, you got a world title fight, Roberto Pulido y Los Clasicos and Ramon Ayala y Los Bravos Del Norte! A boxing, Tejano and norteño trio! I read the newspaper report of the fight and it sounds like it was a good one. Jorge Lujan defeated Reynosa's Roberto Rubaldino via KO at 2:47 of the 15th round. The two would eventually meet again on August 15th, 1981 in Houston, TX. With no title on the line, Rubaldino would defeat Lujan via majority decision.
