But sometimes you can find other Valley records on eBay on a semi-regular basis.

I found that compilation on Amazon, it's worth getting since it's a nice variety of music and the CD booklet comes with quality information and cool photos. Here is the Amazon link.

http://www.amazon.com/Congregation-Anti-Flirts-Inc-McAllen-1965-1967/dp/B004B3PAP2/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1317158061&sr=8-4

One of the bands featured in this compilation is the Playboys of Edinburg (from Edinburg, TX), and some of their Valley work of the 1960's. They eventually changed their name to "Poe". Someone made a blog entry about Poe's "Up Up Thru the Spiral", which is really radical and experimental.

http://therisingstorm.net/poe-up-through-the-spiral/Eduardohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08690857662624301953noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1697223795063277262.post-68705862766308899922011-09-27T13:53:55.621-05:002011-09-27T13:53:55.621-05:00This is awesome, where did you find this compilati...This is awesome, where did you find this compilation? I really dig psych, and garage rock, and from what I hear these valley bands really knew what they were doing. These truly are hidden gems. Do you know where could I find a copy of this album? I had no idea the valley had such a vibrant psychedelic/garage rock scene in the 1960's. I would really love to explore it more, and this album seems like the perfect place to start.Xenochrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05956077734990020859noreply@blogger.com
